I have a curve 9360 that was previously locked to Rogers, Canada. I am now using it in india without a BIS plan, i.e only for texting, calling and the occasional wifi surfing. I wanted to update this phone to os 7.1, but not the version released by Rogers. Is it possible to install maybe leaked firmwares or official firmwares but not released by Rogers? When I try updating through the normal method(using DM or apploader), DM tells me I need an active blackberry subscription(don't really want to activate a costly BB plan just to update) and AppLoader simply does not show the 7.1 firmware. Any help?
