    Hello,

I've got recently the blackberry curve 9360. Verry happy with it, it's an excellent phone.
    Just one remark...

The trackpad is a bit loose.. Its still very accurate and don't have any problems with the trackpad, but its a bit more looser then for example the 8520 or my moms 9810.

Went back to the shop to ask about this problem, they were helpfull and they got another phone from the store to compare and also on that phone (of course a 9360) the trackpad was a bit loose.
So I went back home with the same phone, because there was no different. And I don't have encoverd any problems with the trackpad to.. So just curious..

    Now, is this normal??

PS: do you please want to check out this topic to: http://forums.crackberry.com/service...ervice-682884/

    Thanks a lot!

Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It is looser than on the 9300, the 9360 does use the same trackpad as the 9900. I did notice that issue on my demo 9900 I was reviewing, although Its probably due to the fact that these trackpads are actually different as to what we had before in the 9700, 9300 etc.

trackpads are suppose to be little loose, don't worry about it. if its tilted, sunken then you can get a replacement.

I am currently using my 9700 that has a sunken/tilted trackpad. Where can you get replacements?

This is an easy fix and cheap costs around $10.00 Canadian can do it yourself...

Search on ebay for "9700 trackpad". I saw a couple there for under $5. Interestingly, the ones for the 9350/60/70 are $14...

Digging up an old thread. My 9360 started with loose trackpad, but everything was still working great. Until recently. I noticed that it requires more pressure to register an input, or unless i press it at a certain angle. Time to visit the repair centre i suppose.

    Anyone facing the same issue?

Fine on my side, but mine 4mnths old, try not use t/pad for everything, use "enter" key more often.

Mine is actually a bit loose since the day I bought it (since end of October 2011). In the beginning it was a bit annoying, but I never had any problems with it. I am even used to it now. It is like the trackpad is adjusting to my thumb movement.

Coming from the 9700, I thought the 9360's trackpad was sticking too far out and very loose. After 2 months of use, I find that it isn't so bad. I had to decrease the trackpad sensitivity significantly and the looseness seemed to have gone away over time. I credit junk (pocket lint?) that may have worked its way in and filled the voids. It works great now.

The 9360 that I bought from you is still working great, no issue with the trackpad or buttons anymore

I got another 9360 soon after ya. Haha. After switching around still prefer smaller size. I should sent this one in soon ya. Haha. I'm ok with slightly loose, but its the requiring more pressure to register an input that gets me.

Oh, another thing. Does the red light in the optical trackpad always on? I know on my 9900, the light only comes on when my thumb is near. But on the 9360 it seems to be always on as long as the screen is on.

Actually I never noticed the red optical light on the 9900 and 9360. How do you see it?

I think alex hong has used his track pad so vigorously that the black paint job on it has come off.

In the dark ya. On the 9900 when your finger is near the trackpad, you can see a very feint red light, much like the one on the proximity sensor. On the 9360 it seems to be on constantly, even when my finger is not near. haha.
