I posted a thread about that before. I don't think I got any replies. My curve is the bottom left, near the battery, I think it's the CPU.

Hi, I dont know if this is any help but i found my 9360 got really hot when i started leaving apps running without knowing i was!

Hold Alt + Escape key to see what is running, Close any that dont need to be running.
Sorry if this is not the issue, Just something that worked for me.

Yeah that tends to happen, especially when the app is constantly updating itself

After updating from .319 to .594 from here, the phone is running considerably cooler. Before the phone would always have a warm feeling to it when idle/under moderate usage and get extremely hot when on calls or playing games. Now the phone seems to be free of all heating issues.

I use OS 7.0.0.594 for my Curve 9360. The phone heats up like a hot brick. I removed the battery, left it out for a minute then re-inserted it. That cooled off the phone but I yet wonder what would make the phone so hot?

Only the native applications were running when the phone became hot - Phone, Browser, BBM, etc. and the phone was on standby and not in use when it became hot.

    Any suggestions?
