I have been trying to upgrade my phone software to the new OS7.1 version but I keep receiving a message that the current OS7.0 is up to date. Could someone explain to me how to go about upgrading the OS. Thanks

Lots here update with unofficial updated OS's.

As MrLynd54 said, you will find how to and which updates - official & unofficial are available for your device if you do a quick search.

Are you trying to update the phone through OTA? (Over The Air: from your phone) It'll most likely show that message aslong as your carrier has whichever OS installed as the latest one (according to them) What you need to do is, download the latest official/leak build from

Download/Install/Remove the vendor.xml file/load up DM and follow through with the instructions.

Don`t open BB manager when you try to upgrade to the OS7.1 leaked
Load it from Crackberry post [B]Bilaal gave you the Leaked OS right here...when its finished it will say do you want to run app loader? Dont delete those two vendor files first then run app loader....
I never upgraded my Curve 9360 from the BB manager it also said the same thing just upgrade with the App loader when you have deleted those vendor files...
One will be in the app loader folder at the bottom the other will be hidden somewhere on your PC...i found the second one in user folder running windows XP..
