Verizon users might appreciate a great new feature in BB7 that finally lets them get rid of Bing as the default search engine in the browser. Here's how to replace Bing with Google:

    1. Under Browser Options, click on Manage Search Engines
    2. Click on New Search Engine
    3. In the Name: field, enter: Google
    4. In the Address: field, enter: http://www.google.com/m/search?q=%s
    5. Choose Save from the menu
    6. Scroll down to your new Google entry and choose Set As Default from the menu.

That's it! To use, simply type your search term in the input box at the top of the browser (the field that usually displays the web address). This saves you from having to go to the Google site first.

Apparently this fixes that too, as I no longer see Bing under Search Options---but Google now appears.
