- Am thinking the 9360 battery rating, the 1000mAh was considered ok in the developmental stages of the phone, but some phones when produced just seem to drain battery less compared to others. It doesn't make sense how some people have ok battery life and others, me inclusive have terrible battery life and we're on he same OS!!!
This is a little test am doing, if you have terrible battery life, check your event long (alt + LGLG) for an error! I think this causes the massive battery drain!05-23-12 05:34 PMLike 0 - guys. I'm planning to buy BB phone. I'm confused between buying bb curve 9320 and curve 9360? I've read that the 9360 has better screen resolution than the 9320 but the 9320 has higher battery capacity than 9360. so please help me decide what phone to buy. what are your thoughts and suggestions? thanks!05-29-12 10:00 PMLike 0
- Just traded in our bold 9700s (me & my gf) for 9380 and 9360. i got myself the 9380 cause i wanted some change and getting away from the conventional blackberry's qwerty physical keyboard onto an all touch. and yes what a very new exciting experience i'm having using the 9380, and great 3,2 screen too. overall ai'm happy with it.
and then my gf falls to a white 9360, whereas i was originally recommending her the 9320 on a first place for the larger battery size. all of the above comments had explained it all... 9360 is sexier, you pay more for that and the 5mp camera, better screen res and the NFC

- I have the native battery saver set to 100%; my screen brightness is at 10% and the backlight timeout is set at 20 seconds; I had no apps running in the back ground; I played music for the entirety of this test at 100% volume (attached via aux port to a Sony Docking Speaker playing at 60%).
Here are my battery results:
I am loving my 9320's battery life!07-17-12 04:14 AMLike 0 - @eddy_latatongga: if you notice carefully, the size of 9360's battery is a square whereas the 9320's look like standard 9900 battery shape. See? we're just the odd one out :P
@automatico: how long does your gf's battery life last? trying to find out if its a mobile network issue or not since we both have indonesian providers cause the device scan says almost 80% of my battery is spent on mobile network
@Hypermind: ditto i am hhaving the same thing as you in my logs, does anyone out there know if this is an issue for a good battery life? i wanna say so bad THE OS 7.1 UPDATE IS A MYTH but everyone else seems to say its all good07-21-12 07:46 AMLike 0 - There's 2 error in events log if i'm not mistaken that cant be cleared. Its normal.
Actually the 9360's battery life is already pretty satisfactory for me. I don't see the need for a bigger battery. I do have a spare 3rd party battery just in case. But i have almost never used it other than to charge it up.07-22-12 06:46 AMLike 0 - There's 2 error in events log if i'm not mistaken that cant be cleared. Its normal.

Is it a battery thing? Cause the device analyser states that 80% of my powers consumed through mobile usage..... Do you have it on 3 or 2G?
I used to have it on 3G mode, even then i found the battery life to be pretty decent. I have since switched to 2G mode and the battery now lasts significantly longer. Apps like twitter, facebook, and tapatalk do take slightly longer to load, but its actually not that dramatically different. No noticeable difference in emails, sms, bbm, and whatsapp unless you're sending files. Also i rarely browse the web on my phone.
I do find that the idle drain rate is pretty good on all OS 7 devices. Based on calculating by fully charging it when i sleep, and then checking the battery percentage in the morning when i wake up, on 3G i'm getting around 1% drain rate, and on 2G i'm getting less than 1%.07-23-12 11:29 AMLike 0 - Update: Last night, i took it off the charger at 1:10am. It's just past 1:10pm, so 12 hours. My battery is at 97%. It is pretty much idling other than a couple of emails that came in (It's my day off ). 0.25% per hour drain rate on idle. That's on 2G, but still its pretty impressive.07-24-12 12:29 AMLike 0
