Apparently it depends on the carrier that you get the 8900 from. Mine did not come with a card, but I got a good deal on a 16Gb card which was immediately installed in the phone.

Tmobile comes with a 256 MB. But you really want at least and 8 GB to get started.

Mine from AT&T did not come with a card, but I had my 4 gig card with me from my 8310 so I just popped it right in. Need to upgrade to a bigger one, but it works for now.

I think you have your answer... but I'd like to add that you might want to buy the largest, fastest micro SDHC card you can afford... I have a 16G card and I'm very happy with it, but would probably have screamed a couple times if I would have purchased an 8G card... I love transferring a lot of my data back and forth to work or somewhere else.

    Hey dude!!!

That's pretty pinch...no micro SD card with a
    purchase of 8900.

Just assumed it was included in the box, because
my previous pearl came with a 2mb micro SD card.

That's whack, how you...won't even start waste my
    time.

Well the tmobile came with the 256 and I would have rather had the price lowered $5.... Since you can not do anything with that card. It is collecting dust on my desk now

It is good that T-Mobile included a 256 MB MicroSD. I purchased my at Rogers with no MicroSD at all. I just got lucky that 8GB went on sale plus I got my 8900 at 99 dollars (but with contract though).

When the 8900 was released for AT&T, my local store was forcing the purchase of a 4gb card with the 8900, which of course, raised the price of the phone overall. I didn't need or want that, so ordered my 8900 on the phone and for less than the store, anyway, with no SD card.

I think this is carrier specific. I live outside USA, and mine came with a 1GB one.

this has nothing to do with 8900 but when I bought my Pearl last July...it had a 1GB micro sd card in it!

The package was never opened or anything! The card has no writing on it or labelling!

Yeah its a 256 as said with T-Mobile but I use a 1 gig and have a 4 gig but use the 1 gig with my berry which is fine. Don't put media on my 8900 except pics I take with camera and few wallpapers and ringtones. All my vids I watch on youtube on my 8900 etc. Love this thing!

    T-Mobile: Yes, 256MB
    AT&T: No

Does the T-Mobile one come with the pocket pouch? The AT&T one does.
