I bought the parts today and watched the videos as far as disassembly so I wanna ask those that have done it: How hard was it for you? LMK. I'll post pics when I get the parts and get it done.

I've been contemplating this since February when this phone came out and I bought it. I really want to customize it but I am just so nervous!

don't worry about it. people stress it too much. follow the directions and you will be fine. it's literally like a puzzle. take the 6 screws off and the phone falls apart in stages. blackberries are the easiest to disassemble. i have taken apart iphone, nokias, and sony ericssons before, but the bold and 8900 are the easiest.

It's actually really easy, don't worry. I blacked mine out... after a few months, went back to silver.... dropped it and dented it, went back to black. I can do it in a few minutes now, with my eyes closed.

Same here ... I had changed to a light blue bezel, then a black one, and as you can see in my other thread in the 8900 forum I now have a almost fully white 8900.
