From looking and searching I couldn't find this problem anywere else so thought id start a topic for future reference.

A few days back i rolled back to OS 4.0 to then update to the latest OS 5 that is stickied at the top (which i installed this afternoon) however I didnt like how the lock key on top of the blackberry didnt work so i rolled back to OS 4 again to then install OS 5.411 which i used to have on my phone before i rolled back to install the latest

Now ive followed the 3 steps to installing it (deleting the vendor file etc) but when i go into app loader to install 5.411 on my phone it doesnt show up, the only thing that does is the one app - blackberry app world (i lost all my apps with the roll back and am gonna reinstall them when i get back to OS 5). Here is an image of my problem:

Any help on how to get the new os to show up here or an alternative way to install os 5.411, thanks!

First, delete the Vendor.xml file... then disconnect your PC from the Internet... then start the Loader.exe file.

Manually backup your device... including 3rd party apps using the link in my signature below... download and install either CrackMem or BBSAK... use one of these to wipe your device and load the OS version you want... then load the backup files and 3rd party apps.

I've used CrackMem in the past to downgrade and wipe my device in the past... it's a good way to force an OS on a device.
