I use it all the time on my 8900, but Hmmm... it doesn't work on my husband's 8320. His is set to dial from home page, so that shouldn't be an issue.

It worked on my old 8320, my Pearl, the Bold and the 8900.

But i havent had the 8320 or the Pearl in over 2 years so it might have been the different OS.

Dial from page needs to be set to not dial from home screen. There are a ton of keyboard shortcuts.

I hope this is not OT, but is it possible to define a shortcut for switching to "quiet"?
When I look at the speed dial list there are a few shortcuts already, but I haven't found a way to set a new one.

Holding Q on my 8300 tries to assign a speed dial # to the Q key. OS 4.5.0.124, Dial From Home Screen off. Mrrr! Would be handy!

I have always wondered why the Q key switches to vibrate?? Surely would make more sense to have Q for Quiet!!

Lol this has always bugged me!

Don't know if you've owned a Pearl before but it was the # key for vibrate.

I've used this key a lot. It will switch profiles from the last two you used. For instance, if you switch between let's say normal to quiet, when you use the Q key, it'll toggle between the two. So all you need to do is manually switch between the two profiles you use the most one time and voila! you've got a quick switcher.

I wonder if this works for those who use QSMS App??
Yes, it does...you tap Q for QSMS and hold Q for profile switcher.

Yeah but on the Pearl, the # key is no where near the QW key on the Pearl! And this is why I can't believe people think you're helpful!!

Haha, I'm just giving you a hard time, herb boy!
