I've had my Curve 8900 for the past week, no problem, until i took it to the beach... Everything seemed fine, a few grains of sand here and there but nothing major.
This was until about 2 days ago, my speakers just don't play anything outloud!
    Alarm, ringtones, speakerphone, NOTHING!
All that happens is a strange click noise then silence.

Can anyone suggest any sort of suggestion to help?

Either 1 of 2 things happen you have too much sand in the speaker area not allowing it o vibrate the cone or water got in and your amplifier is dead or your speaker is dead.

    My 2 cents

I hope that helps, you have to open the unit to identifiy either way.

It works whe i call people, just not when i want to play anything outloud, which doesn't really make sense...
Could it be a software error?

I have a similar issue.. I got a little bit of sand in the phone and now when I call or do anything through the handset speaker it has a buzzing sound (sand rattling?). I don't know how to get to the speaker and even if I did I don't think I'd trust myself to do so.. Phones aren't cheap. Help???
