Welcome to Crackberry! You might want to upgrade your OS since you dont have anything on the phone yet.

Either way, its a great phone!

    Congratulations!!! It's an excellent device.

Use the phone for a while before you upgrade the OS... .114 is very stable and works just fine.

I have had my 8900 for a while now and I would not suggest updating the OS! It it aint broke don't fix it
I have done a lot of reading on the new OS as well and It seems to have more issues than fixes as far as I'm concerned...

Its easy to do that, if you have already specified and personalised your settings I would use Desktop Manager to do a quick backup and then do an upgrade to the latest OS, you'll probably notice the battery and power handling to be a lot more efficient.
