I've been out of the loop since I first tried T-Mobile's 8900 back in Feb when it came out. I tried 2, had issues with both, and returned them and went back to my 8320.

I recall 2 issues with the OS at the time....
    1) battery strength was weak (I'd get a day with medium usage)
    2) vibrate mode was weak (the phone would sit on my desk inches from me and I'd miss notifications because I didn't even hear the vibe)

I'm still pretty happy with my 8320 (runs OS v4.5.0.81) but am wondering if there have been improvements to the 8900 OS since I tried it on day one. I want to say my 8900 was running .114 but my memory only goes back so far!

Yep, the newer version of the OS are MUCH better than .114 was. That OS did have problems.

Yes, .114 was a bad on both battery life and vibration, as well as ringtone volume... currently T-Mobile's Official OS is .231.

Great! So .231 addresses both the battery life and vibe strength?

    That's what we both said.

.250 is really good too. I haven't really noticed any differences between .231 and .250

I was running .250 and I know a lot of ppl not having any issues w it but in my case I started having some problems with my sms and mms so downgrade to .231 and no problems so far. I would go back to the 8900 if I was u.
