I cant think of why I'd have my BB with me if I was doing the extreme stuff he's talking about.

In activities like that...my SIM card goes into my old TMO LG flip and the BB stays home.
Or use the otter box for when you are doing extreme sports

I wasn't flaming the dude. But why make a thread embelishing the fact that he is switching to another phone? Yes this is a support community, we support people WITH Blackberries.

The 8900 is rugged!.........its like the tank of BB's....its OS is easy...he mentioned glitches?......My phone hasn't glitched once.....

I think he was ready to get out of his BB from the begining ...he had buyers remorse on his first post.....

But this is a fantastic site and it sucks to lose members

glitches? look at the first page of the 8900 forum, its littered with people having 'glitches'. I couldnt grab a signal for the life of me which is a common occurrence for the 8900. Also, my phone would go blank and I couldnt get it to come back on unless I took out the battery, not sure how thats user error.

Anyhow, not trying to bash the phone, I liked the phone, it just wasnt for me and probably a compulsive purchase. I know I now have a dumbed down phone, but it sure is fun not having to worry about it and being able to talk to folks while taking a shower if I darn well please
