The Desktop Manager that comes with the phone is 4.7 and the directory setting is a little bit different. It doesn't has the \Shared\Loader Files subdirectory under ResearchInMotion. So where should I copy all the files under Java from .109 to ?

i not sure, because i download the desktop manager and not use cd one...

it would very easy if just upgrade to .231 East Asia, unless you very much like .94...

    C:\Program Files\Comon Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\
    is location OS's get installed

there will have the 8900-v4.6.1.xxx_Px.x.x.xxx subfolders
if get the .231 installed then it should be copy from the .231 CJK files (CJK.alx and extra files inside Java subfolder) and put in the .94 folder

It is not that I like .94 but I just want to keep the original OS that comes with the phone and add support for Chinese language. Where can I find that version of OS and installed on my PC?

you have to download and install OS

if .94 come with phone u need go download and install on computer then with also either .239 or .231 and do the steps

i not sure if can only download .239 or .231 and just only ask to load CJK.alx

i main do upgrade OS because new OS is better in some way like battery life or small bug RIM don't like to talk about it

most time newer version OS is better

Thanks for your help dcwc. I was able to add Chinese to my curve.

My battery seems to run out pretty fast ( like in 2 days ) without making much phone calls. I was wondering whether updating the OS to the latest OS(.231) will help and is it possible since this OS is from another service provider (Hutchinson from Hong Kong) instead of my own provider(Rogers of Canada).

I also have another question. After adding Chinese to my phone, all the old chinese songs names that was on the phone before the update still doesn't show up as Chinese character(same as before like funny characters). What did I do wrong?

one more thing, do you know anything about GPS. When I go to option->advance option->GPS, it looks like it is not turn on because both latitude and longtitude are 0 and satellite found is 0. This is how it look like:-

    GPS Data Source Device GPS
    GPS Services Location ON
    GPS Location:
    Latitude: N 0 00'
    Longitude: W 0 00'
    Fix Time: None
    Number of Satellites: 0
    Accuracy: 0.0m
    Location Aiding: Disabled

do you have any idea what wrong?
