    But yeah OP, you read something very wrong. If the phone had a problem
    with the flash I bet you it wouldn't have been released until it was fixed.

    Flash is fine, delay in actually shooting is pretty awful because of autofocus. Can't tell how many pictures I've missed because of shutter lag.

    I think you may be asking too much from a cellphone camera. May I suggest a dedicated camera? A Canon SD camera is very small (so you can carry it with you) but takes great pictures.
