They are not the same device. The 8900 is smaller (curve 83xx size), a little slower processor than the Bold, better camera, better screen resolution, and more flash memory than the Bold.

yep. depends what your needs are: If you really don't care about 3G (like me), I would say the 8900 is all around a better phone.

I got the 8900 as it has wifi gps and I don't really care about 3G since I am always on wifi and always use UMA calling.

aristile, they should sticky your comparison thread. A lot of people ask the same question and I found your thread to be very helpful. Just a suggestion.

Thanks, I'm not a mod so I can't do it. Maybe one day that will happen, who knows. It does have almost 11,000 hits!

Sprint? You mean AT&T because Sprint is CDMA and will never get the Bold which only works on GSM carriers like T-Mobile or AT&T.

A Bold variation should hit Sprint. Especially now that we know VZW is getting the 8320.

They are not the same phone. The 8300 vs 8310 vs 8320 are essentially same phones. The 8900 and 9000 are completely different phones.

Off the top of my mind, the bold has bigger screen, 3g, squishy keypad. The 8900 has smaller form factor, edge, uma, and clicky/clacky keypad.

Used both the Bold and now im on the 8900, if you can live without the 3G speeds, you're better off with the 8900.

I can agree with that. In fact that is the exact decision that I made as well after using both devices.
