As for the gps, I'm trying to use the devices built in gps location system, which within .114 was working as intended, as of my upgrade to .174 it cannot read the gps location. I've tried and typically use the gps function within the RIM maps app, but I also tried Telenav trial and simply refreshing my location in the settings app. It scans for satellites and never gets any further. Telenav simply says "Reading GPS.."
Ditto for me and the GPS not working with .174. I tried everything to get a GPS signal and finally swapped phones at the store. When I got the new phone (114) it immediately found a satellite. After upgrading last night to 174, I lost the ability to find a satellite.

why would you go back... are they TOO loud?
Yes it is too loud. I get a lot of text and calls at night and when I have it set on low it sounds like its on medium. It can be heard from the other rooms. I dont want to wake anyone up you know? It has before lol and having it set to vibrate I miss most of my text or calls unless I see it blinking. Thats the only reason why Im going back. Other than that, .174 was good on battery life. I wonder if it will be offical?

Battery life is amazing on .174: last charge was last Monday, perhaps not even to 100% as it was connected to my PC for charging.

At this moment I still have 2 bars left

The battery life experience for me was marginally better with OS .152. I would get a standard 4 days out of it and 5 from light usage. This one gives me 3-4 days out of normal usage.

Set it to sleep mode.... have it use the beep to warn you that you have a text

I only let TXT and Calls go thru when I am in bed....or better yet silence it and get a good night sleep, skip the late night/early morning drunk texting!!!!

No really if you do roll back... good luck!!

I didnt find any difference between 168 and 174 myslef, the only thing i heard of was that the option to "resend text" was gone but i think that started in 168 also

I've had .174 for about 4-5 weeks now and I must say that it is the most stable so far.
