I am thinking about purchasing a 1600mhz extended battery. I don't want the next size up from 1600 because you need a different backing and it throws off the sleek design of the bberry.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has the extended battery , and if so, about how much longer does it run compared to the standard battery? Is it worth spending close to 50 bucks on?

WOW a Frequency battery? That's impressive!

    Couldn't resist!

Its a 23% increase in battery capacity. I guess that's up to you if you think that is worth $50 or not. Personally I don't think it is, but that's just me.

    Hi josher,

I just thought I'd let you know that I bought the battery a few weeks ago and honestly, I don't see much of a difference myself but then again I hear you need to have a few charge cycles before it levels out.

Thanks for the input! Perhaps I won't buy an exended battery after all...I think if disable gps then my battery should last longer.

Josher what OS are you running? Cause alot of us have upgraded from the stock OS, and have gotten a significant increase in battery performance, maybe this is a free option to your problems.

It depends on you. I say just go with the newest Official release and thats .168 i was on it for awhile and it worked great for me, i never had any problems. I am on the Beta OS as we chat, but to recommend someone i say go with the official.

Definitely upgrade the OS. I like .168 or .133 (in that order).

Thanks for the help, I'll look into upgrading my os. But first, I'll need to refresh my memory on how to upgrade os. I know I have to delete the vendor file or something....

Not much to comment on in regards to my battery, I went through the recommended charge cycles and didn't notice any difference really. But then again my device doesn't get more than 2 days I am a very heavy user
