That would be great, but does the 8530 have the chops to support OS 6?

Yeah, I want OS 6, and an app that makes all the traffic lights ahead of me green, and I want the pause button at the top to be able to pause time.

I hope the RIM genie is reading this post

No, the 85XX line will NOT receive OS6.
This is why RIM created the 93XX Curve line, those devices will get OS6.
I also don't think the 85XX line has a strong enough processor, I'm not completely sure though.

Dream on. BB does not even like Crackberry. You can hear it in their voice
when you call RIM Customer Support and mention Crackberry. "Blackberry does not associate itself with Crackberry.com". Wow,,nice.

Correct. The processor is inadequate to run 6.

I suppose it won't be much longer till I upgraded either to 9780 or going to android team which most of it using touchscreen that I really liked but if it got itself OS6 version, I think I'll stay longer with my 8520's

If this worked then the 8330m would have 5.0.

The processor and Memory is not high enough.

Would love to see OS6 on my 8520, probably more chance of getting a SocialScope invite than getting OS6 though.

The more replies the higher our chances are of getting OS 6. Don't worry too much about processor size they have lite versions that can work.

    Keep it up

    +1
Why fix it if it isn't broken.

Opera mini does work for us now. There is a thread about it in the 3rd party apps section. (tried to post a link but couldn't get it to work)

Hahaha of course it would be funny though but why didn't we try the best?? At least we tried to jave OS6 but even if it didn't I actually really loved the OS5!! It's quite stable with my 85xx instead of the creepy memory overload by the 4.6 so I think even though OS6's "never" going to came to 85xx's it still a great phone though for new users on blackberry like me!!

Well if you see that old Curves won't be going to see OS6, you may looked at Android's phone!! When the first Android base phone arrived in my country is based on 1.5(Cupcakes) and not all of them where able to upgrade to 2.0(clair) so I suppose it would be fair enough if a company didn't need the upgrade for the phone if it would be sluggish and laggy which make users actually anggry!!

So I concluded that : OS6 or not, every phone got every age of its own and won't be immortal!!
