hello im from singapore. is anybody using the firmware 5.0.0.681 for their Bb curve 8520? anybody experiencing any problems with it? i think i have.

    1) battery keeps dying on me this morning. then it shows the "no battery" icon
    2) i actually had to wipe the entire firmware off using JLCmdr.. then reload the v4.6 on it before upgrading it to 5.0.0.681..

    Hello,

If you still have warranty for it have it inspected and you should get a replacement pretty easily. I just sold my Curve 8520 running OS 5.0.0.681 just a week ago. It had never given me any problems.

i think im having a problem with my battery compartment!
problem is when the BB died.. i removed the batt cover and took off my battery then insert it again and the BB rebooted.. the moment i put the batt cover on and snapped, the BB died.

then i noticed that as i slide the batt 45 degrees onto the hp connector, the red light came on.. when i insert it as per normal, it died.

SOLUTION was, i inserted a coin at the Batt compartment then the Batt and covered it up. WORKS*
