they told me i didnt have to pay a deductible or anything....

but i have been hearing that this 8530 is replacing the 8330? what will they send me???

will the deductible show up on my bill????

Curve 8530 is the successor to the Curve 8330, but this doesn't necessarily mean you will be upgraded to a Curve 8530. Sprint might still have some Curve 8330 in stock for purposes like this, e.g. if one needs to replace their Curve through insurance.

Some had luck and were upgraded to a newer iteration of the phone they sent in. I recall someone saying they got a Storm2 9550 back for sending in a Storm 9530.

Wait and see, you might be lucky or just get the Curve 8330. Either way both are great BlackBerry smartphones and unless you have a dying need for WiFi, you won't miss much should you get the Curve 8330.

Hmmm. Yeah, but that person paid a deductible and I didn't...would that make a difference?

If you're going through insurance you have to pay a deductible - Sprint uses a 3rd party for insurance so it's not up to them. Either the person you talked to didn't know what they were talking about, or you bought your phone less than a year ago and they were talking about getting it replaced under warranty.

Like me in the past they will add the deductible to your monthly statement. They may upgrade you to the 8530 who knows. Seems as if the 8330 is gone forever.
