Good not everybody goes into waiting mode, or we would never know what's up with the OS releases...

Still, I BET there is nothing we can see in this release. As usual, it's probably under the hood tuning.

EDIT: Talk about a slow link AT&T...

Nothing new. And there is not a tad of 6 taste.

Everything looks and feels just as before. So, as I said, there should probably be performance changes. Better reception, maybe better battery life.

After a while, that's pretty much all that happens. There could be some bug fixes as well, but since I myself haven't have any bugs for a long while, it is hard for me to notice them.

is there any way I can install this OS upgrade on my phone if my carrier has yet to release it? (after installing the kit for this latest OS on my pc, my BB desktop manager does not see it..)

Redz20, you need to delete the vendor.xml file under C:/ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Apploade r

so Diegonei how is the battery life? I just jumped OS's last week from .681 to .1056 then after experiencing reboots, had to downgrade to .1036 which works fine for now. (1056 is more battery efficient though). That is why I am waiting for feedbacks for this one.

I had horrible experience with the last one (.1056) so I downgraded back to .1036. I'm also going to wait for feedback.

Looking at 5.0.0.1036, it has a newer software platform of 5.2.0.104 rather than 5.2.0.96 as this firmware version shows... Curious.

I'm running this latest version, and see no bugs, nor any improvements..

I 1st thought I had more free memory, but that's cuz the back up didn't work properly..it missed reinstalling 2-3 apps I had.

well one thing i noticed is that the little lightning bolt that indicates when the phone is charging doesn't flash anymore. also when i first installed it, i got a message saying that i would be installing an older software version. I was running .1036 when i installed it

Yeah exactly. I am having trouble installing it. Apploader tells me that the version is lower then the application or sth like that and then it doesn't detect the software. It doesn't install nothing. I see "no action". And at Desktop manager I get one or more molecules couldn't be resolved.

I'm always having trouble upgrading and yes I deleted the vendor file and I'm running Desktop manager 6.
I also deleted all the older versions of the software and restarted the computer.
