Noob here so if this in the wrong place, please let me know.

    - trying to get UMA - wifi calling enabled on back-up Curve.

    - my t-mobile branded Bold 9780 is dying the white-screen-of-death, out of warranty.
it's running OS 6, and has been backed up to a PC.

    - I unlocked an old, Curve 8520 that was in the closet (from Jamaica Digicell).
After unlocking, I synced up to the PC, and all my contacts, etc are working, as are my email accounts.

    - However... the Curve doesn't seem to have UMA. It connects to wifi AOK, but Digicell doesn't do UMA/wifi calling.

    - I've poked around some threads here, and am getting even more confused on how to enable UMA/wifi Calling on the recently unlocked Curve. It seems certificates have something to do with it.

If anyone has advice to get this working I'd be thankful.

Welcome to CrackBerry! I have moved you to the appropriate section. UMA connection settings - BlackBerry Curve 8520/8530 Smartphones - User Guide - BlackBerry Curve Series - 5.0 From what I understand there it is handled by the service book.

thanks, zocster. my confusion is over whether or not the process is the same for all, non-TMobile Blackberry's, or if there is a specific instruction-set for the Curve 8520. I was also wondering if the certificates that are stored on my computer in the Bold's backup can be used on the Curve.

Hi there, you should be able to import your certificates from the bold no issue, the 8520 is the same everywhere except for some HSPA bands which I don't believe it has anyway.
