I have an unlocked, Jamaica Digicell BB Curve 8520, running software version 5.0.0.681.

I'd like to update this to my carriers latest version, T-Mobile 5.0.0.900, however...

When I try to do this using BB Desktop Manager, I'm told the Curve is updated to the most recent version, although on the "about" screen, it's still 5.0.0.681 that's showing.

Is there some kind of file from Digicell that needs to be deleted before the phone will accept the T-Mobile update version?

I'm a BB newb, who's trying to get his wife's phones up to date, etc.

These are good guides. I suspect it's because you've not deleted the vendor xml file.
