    Hi there. My BB 8520 changed from Edge to GSM signal. I tried reintalling the operation system but that did not help. I also tried registering the Host Routing Table and I got a message saying: "Registration message queued. It will be sent once data coverage is available". The GSM signal is full but I can not make or receive phone calls... Please help!!!

    Sounds like a T-Mobile data issue, not a device issue.

    Thank you for replying. Well, I am using my SIM card on my wife's same 8520 phone and works okay using the Edge signal. I also called T-Mobile and they reset the signal but nothing worked... I am very confused!!

    T-Mobile GSM signal full all the way but when I try to make a phone call, it says: "Call Failed"... This is crazy.... Signal has never gone back to edge...

    I called back and they asked me to insert my SIM card into another phone to make a phone call. Once they checked that the call went through, they said that the service was okay and that there was a problem with the phone....

    I spent another 40 minutes with a T-Mobile rep and after doing stuff to the phone that I am already tired of doing, the rep said that "there is a problem with your device"... I said "No kidding"....

    So far, the phone does not connect to the network... No phone calls can be made... I had to get another BlackBerry... I will post if anything new comes out...

    Try this:

    Go to Manage Connections.

    >Mobile Network Options

    >Network Selection Mode: MANUAL

    >Choose Available Networks

    From here, choose any other Networks. (Other than the one you are currently using). I recommend choosing a Network which you think has the best signal/coverage. Choose other network for a while (you will get SOS). Leave it for a few seconds. After that, choose your Network again.
