I have a BB 8520 which was purchased from Tiger Direct as an unlocked phone. My daughter was using it on the Fido network and recently upgraded to an iPhone. She gave me her unlocked 8520 because I have been using the first BB Curve that was ever made. It still works
I put my Fido SIM card in the phone and it worked for about 2 minutes. I then went to Fido who told me that it needed to be unlocked again. I purchased an unlock code and followed the instructions but could only get part way through before nothing would happen. I took out the battery and the SIM card and tried again but now under advanced options I only get a message that says no valid SIM card but I am using the SIM card that I took out of a phone that is working and when I put it back into the other phone it still works.

What should I do now?
