Both my BerryWeather and my Vorino Battery do not work when
placed on the lower bar.
But they do work with other themes that I have with no problem.

Wish they did work though...

I was having the same problem with other themes and there are threads on this forum discussing the cause, which most people think is an OS bug that's triggered when using themes with transitions. In my case, every theme I used with transitions (free or premium) would not update the homescreen icons, including both BerryWeather & WeatherEye. I was running OS 5.0.0.386. I updated my OS to 5.0.0.459 and no more problem!!!

I'm running OS 5.0.0.459.
I'll be testing it with Weatherbug (free).
If it doesn't update, I'll remove the transitions and re-test.
User "nlfdberryuser" commented in this thread that updating the OS to .459 fixed this same issue for him which may be why I haven't seen the issue.

Do the other themes have Transitions?
What version are you running?

Carrier is US Cellular and this is their latest OS.

You may be right about the transitions, this is the only
theme I have with that. Which is why I like it.

But the Vorino Clock and the BerryWeather
icons on the lower bar do not update.

BerryWeather Wallpaper works with no issue
and works well with the theme.

They are offering a free trial if you wish to
test it. I saw that on BB App World.

They might be helpful in working this issue out.

up when moused over, then hide type of item, like what

I've been super picky on a theme for my 8530, and this one FINALLY is what i've been looking for.
Great accents, and the transfers from each screen are smooth and very nice. Goes nice with the red skin i have on my bb.

I registered mostly to say "Thank you" for this theme. I was looking for something with icons on the bottom yet my calendar was visible.

I downloaded it and got it all situated, then came back and saw that a weather app went in the top slot. I get it!! I renamed a file "." so that too much text wouldn't show. But the temp text there is great.

Perfect. This is what I was looking for the whole time I had a Treo 800w. Finally made the switch to BB and this app alone made it worth it!

I'm pretty sure the OS and Transitions both are the problem. That's the OS I started with, fresh out of the box from Verizon. Then, I upgraded to OS 5.0.0.395 shortly after I got my phone, and I couldn't get any apps that had updating icons to actually update. (Most notably, I had my boyfriend's BBM contact icon on my homepage, and I'd get notifications of having received a new BBM message, but his icon wouldn't get the new message star thing on it, like it would if I viewed it from the app screen.)

After I upgraded to .459 all this was solved. All my icons update on themes with Transitions.

It's an updated version of this theme in 3 versions: Weather Slot with Transitions, Weather Slot without Transitions & No Weather Slot with Transitions. I lowered the Today area and removed 1 line so it doesn't overlap the Weather Slot. I changed the font on the Today area so it's more visible on lighter wallpapers. I removed access to the Weather slot from the home screen. I'm going to convert it to 85XX-drew04 with the orginial Red accents soon. We'll have to continue this thread there when it happens.

So far, I love this. Works fine. Had a slight mem leak (>1 Mb) but dont think it's from the theme. I am not getting the calendar to pop up. Which slot do I need to have it in? I love having the seven icons on the bottom, as I now dont have to use the menu key as much. Well done.

The Calendar could go into any of the first 7 slots. I've not tried it in slot 8 because people usually put their weather icon there. I'm using WeatherBug and it works free with no issues.

Keep an eye out for "85XX-drew04red" today. It's an undated version of this theme.

Well, I changed my mind on the leak. The only thing different Between yesterday and today is the theme (Which I love) and I have a 5 MB memory leak. Im going to do a battery pull and try again and see if it still happens. Anything I could try to limit this.

I love this theme! Is there anyway to change the font type and size on the menu, calendar, and message screens? When I've tried to change them under the Options menu, it doesn't change them.
