I bought two themes from the Crackberry store. Got an email with link on my phone and downloaded both. Neither show up in themes, both show up in applications. I rebooted, no change. Did a pull, no change. Uninstalled and downloaded again, same thing. What am I doing wrong? I'm running 4.5 and selected the right model/OS when purchasing. Help!
that means that you didnt select the correct OS/device.. im not sure what you can do about it though, look for something in your reciept for "returns" or feedback to send them an email.
Yea, I did that. Hopefully they will get back to me. I just thought it was weird that it happened with both themes and they were both from the same person/company. Thanks for trying to help though.
hmm.. but the underlying thing is that it is for the wrong os/device. that is the only thing that would make it show up as an app as apposed to a theme. which themes were they?
Yeah - you're right. Showing up app list is the key. That means it HAS to be conflicting with th OS. If there was an error dl'ing or unzipping it wouldn't have ever installed. Since you see it in app list then there was no problem with the dl.
Reminds me of when I dl'd an app for a Storm on my curve and was so frustrated trying to get it to work. I coukd see it there. Uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, then... D'oh!!!

I'm having the EXACT same problem with my 8310. I have tried downloading through the DM and OTA. Different themes from different sites. And I also have verrified that they are for my 4.5 OS. Very frustrating.

you can go to options>about the third line down will tell you what os you have. if you are downloading os 4.5 for the 83xx, and they are showing up in your apps, you either dont have 4.5 or you arent downloading for the 83xx series. its one or the other.
After some frustrating hours at this, I backed up my BB, wiped it, loaded the newest 4.5, reloaded my apps, re-downloaded the themes and all is well. It was time for a fresh install of everything anyway. Thanks for everyone's help.
Thats great Michelle. I had this problem when I was still on 4.3 but when I installed the new 4.5.131 didn't have anymore problems. I too have the Bold theme on mine and love it.
