I wish I had OS 4.5. No luck for us here at VZW still. Anyone hoping this might unlock GPS for us? I dont think its possible as the GPS seems to be hardware locked but I am still being hopeful.
Shouldnt the themes from 4.3 and 4.2 still work with 4.5? I assume OS 4.6 is going to need different themes and such but shouldnt the others still work for 4.5?
I'm running OS 4.5.0.42 on my Curve. The Cubis Icon theme looks really nice; no banner issues.
I like the BB Dimension Today Plus theme. It has the "Today" icons on the left side, then you can scroll to the right to view Zen-like icons that you can arrange from your home page. I use it with the wallpaper below. Here's the link to a review and download:

No, that is not correct. There can be some theme issues and discrepencies when moving from OS 4.2 or 4.3 to OS 4.5. Some themes will work if they were made with the new Plazmic creator :)
