I'm not sure what's going on with the links folks. I've been testing them lately due to many reports of issues and have found that sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. In the past, they've been bulletproof so my only guess is that they've been doing maint on them lately or they're getting bogged down with high amounts of data. I'm gonna wait it out for now and if things don't improve. May be forced to host them elsewhere.

how do you get the weather to show on the home screen? It just shows the weather channel icon on the spot where the screen shot shows the weather
That's all it is, your weather app icon. If you use a weather app that shows the temp or current condition within the icon itself it will do that, like the screenshot shows Weatherbug displaying the temp. It will not expand out into the rest of the homescreen.
