Well you could if you want quick access to it. It doesn't necessarily have to be a weather app, just any app that you want displayed on the home screen.

So if I use The Weather Channel shortcut I don't need that, right?
You can place any icon you want in the slot, it's just that most put their weather icon there, like I did too...

SD! Which theme should I get!? Curve Precision Zen (95xx-Like for 83xx OS4.5) or Precision Pro? And what is the best Weather app?

You will be fine, as long as it's for your device model and OS(operating system) you will be ok...

Battery pull after I install the theme or after I install the theme and select it? Or doesn't it matter?

Doesn't matter, always remove the battery while the device is ON, wait a minute and replace...

I use BerryWeather, it's a pay application, but very nice and worth the money in my opinion, you can purchase it here in the CrackBerry store. The best free weather application, again, in my opinion, is BB Weather. Type it in the search for a download link...

Ok, there is a few weather applications people like, this is a highly debatable topic on what free weather app is the best. My advice to you is use the search tool here and look up free weather apps and check out your options. I like Bb weather the best out of the free weather apps, here is the link if you want to install BB Weather, do it just like you downloaded the theme...

Okay, cool! Thanks! Does BB Weather put an icon with the current weather conditions on the homescreen? Also, will a theme void my warranty? I do find the theme I just downloaded ...the icons are small, but I like it still.

I love this theme on my 8330 and it runs very fast. I use the bottom dock version. I also use and highly recommend BerryWeather. If you can't spring for the bucks (but try, it is awesome) Weathereye by the Weather Network also is great and puts a cute weather icon that updates any amount of time you choose (15 minutes, 30, 60 minutes)

I definitely say BBWeather instead of the Weather Channel, I used to have Weather Channel and its annoying looking up weather through the browser...if you want a quality weather app and you have a few extra bucks then get BerryWeather.

I'm pretty sure themes don't void your warranty and BBWeather can put the temp and/or conditions on your homescreen.
