Hello, I have just recently updating my BlackBerry Curve 8330 to the 5.0.0.230 Operating System, and I have noticed I still have the old BlackBerry 4.5 Theme, and thats the only one's I can get, but yet I see other people getting the new nice 5.0 Theme. How can I get this new theme, or am I wrong about the Theme? I have changed the theme's multiple times, reset my phone (Battery Pull), and I just cant seem to get it? Please help me get this theme if it is possible!

    Thanks,
    LegendaryFire

You need to download the 5.0 theme on your phone.
    Themes section.

OS 5.0 for the 8330 only comes with the old school dimension theme. Load the precision theme files from the 85XX series BB to get the precision theme on your 8330. Once this is done, you can use any 85XX theme.

Hmm, how do I install this, do I replace ALL the files in Java with the ones in the downloaded folder? Or do I just add them? Please help!

    Thanks,

The only files you need to ADD to your Java folder is net_rim_theme_precision_zen_320x240_b_01.cod to get the theme on your 8330 running the 5.0 OS.

If you want to add the games, you need to add the .cod file of the game(s) you want to your Java folder and then the corresponding .alx file(s) including the blackberry.alx file needs to go into your main OS folder.

Okay thank you! I got it to work! But I have one more problem, and it has been happening before I upgraded to the OS 5.0. For some reason, when I go to my applications, there is two Facebook icons, same with Yahoo Messenger. One is called "FaceBook" and the other one is called "Facebook". They both lead me to the online website to install the application. How can I remove these icons, other than just hiding them?

    Thanks,

One is probably a shortcut to download the Facebook application. Click on both of them. The one that opens the browser is the one you want to hide or delete.

How can I delete them? And will the OS 5.0.0.438 work with a Telus/Bell Curve?

OS. 5.0.0.438 will work with any 8330 (NOT an 8330m) as long as you delete the vendor.xml file.

You can find the Precision Zen Theme cod here. This cod is extracted from .463.
