so i realized theme builders were putting the themes for 8300 and 8800 in the same section, so i dl a theme to my 8310 but its for 8800 and it works! no bugs all the icons are working, but I kinda feel like its too good to be true, and i dont wanna brick my berry.

anyone else use 8800 themes for their curve?

I don't see why it should be a problem as the screen resolution on both devices are exactly the same
