Ok. I've recently received a BB Curve 8320 over the holidays and obviously, I've gone mad personalizing it with apps, ring tones, themes, the works.

Anyway, maybe everyone is already in the know and I'm just a nooby noob but I think I've stumbled upon a !!KILLER app. Link:

    mobile.infospacefindit.com

It's basically your personal 411, Mapquest, know it all, find it all Yellowpage thingamajig. The software is very easy to navigate through and a turn by turn voice over is available when receiving directions. How GPS-like is that from my GPS-less 8320? Too bad the voice over is of some random dude and not of that robotic, mono-tone woman that I've grown so enamored of.

Here's the best part of it all. You can even find your nearest hotspot. Just earlier today I was picking up a signal at Mcdonalds thinking, " WTH! I didn't know Ronald McDonald is internet savvy." Seriously.

Anyway, I've gone on a rant. Get it. Love it. Keep it and take care.

Yep. And some other good ones are:

    Google Maps

    Live Search

    Y! Go Download

    and there are others.

I tried McDonald's....you have to pay to surf and eat a Big Mac.

On the site it says free for 60 days on one page but on the home page it states "now free"...which one is it?

Also, does it use cell towers to find out where you are for the GPS feature when you have the 8320?

As far as I know it is free and it does not use cell towers. I've used all the features of the app while I had my wifi and mobile network turned off. You should try it.

Lastly, it's not a gps. More like mapquest.

Got it figured out, it won't load with the Tmo browser, you have to switch to the BB browser and it loads fine.

Try entering m.infospacefindit.com rather than starting with mobile, I believe that is the problem. Looks like a pretty good search engine.
