I am sure that somewhere on this site this question has been answered several times but I am going to ask anyways. I am trying to setup my work e-mail and when I asked the IT person for the password she told me that we have an internal BB server. Since I don't have a company owned phone they won't set me up on the server. (They reserve those license's for the important people). I know when I look at my work email at home it is through an exchange server is there anyway I can look at it through my BB. And one more question, I have email accounts with Yahoo, hotmail, aol, and Gmail. I need to get rid of most but need to know which one os best to get for the BB.
Your company sounds like it's using a BES so the IT folks would have to setup your phone to work on the BES. If you don't have permission for it then you cant get it done.
If you've still got an exchange server that gives you web access to your email, you should be able to set your berry up for that. Just go to your BIS email setup and add the account. It'll reject your attempt to add it in the same way as you do others (like gmail). It'll then ask you for the url of your web access.

I say Gmail but then again I don't have a Yahoo email so yeah. I am having the same issue in that we have an email client (Novell) and it's not letting me set up my emails like I was ablt to do with gmail and hotmail. Btw, some ppl get their hotmail on their BB's and others don't. No science behind it really...some ppl just got lucky.
