OK, I have had my Berry for a few months now and just saw something I had not seen before. In the Options>advanced> there is a new option that is "Wireless Upgrade"? Is this the phone telling me that there is an upgrade in the OS or some other program on the phone? Do I need to do a Backup before I proceed in the upgrade. Thanks in advance.

If this is not available on the Curve then why did the option appear? I never noticed before until I changed the theme. Is this something that will be available soon? Hopefully this means EV-DO will be in my area soon.

The option is only there until the first type you reboot your BB, then it disappears.

Nope - I still have it and it works after far too many reboots and an OS update.

It seems to be carrier & area dependent as all of ours on VZW have it whereas the folks on AT&T do not.

Wireless Upgrade is part of the core applications. Pulling the
    battery will not remove it.
