I have a Blackberry 8310, it's running OS 4.2. I'm considering upgrading to 4.5, but before I do I want to make sure that the AT&T MEdia Net browser won't go away if I do. This is important because I am using a "generic" data plan and thus the Blackberry Browser isn't available to me. I do run Opera Mini 4.2 but there are some things that I need the AT&T MEdia Net browser for.

I don't mind reading the FAQs on the upgrade, and in fact I did, but I didn't see this clarified there.

I have upgraded to several 4.5 builds, both on my 8310 and my 8820, and media net is always there.

Nope, it won't delete anything like that. Make sure to backup before attempting the upgrade.
