i am new to this site i have a BB 8320 and this just started to happen when i put the battery in the red light indicator light will come on the just go off and the phone does not turn on and then when i plug it into the charger in it it says it charging for like 10 seconds then the screen just gose black. what could it be and what should i do ?

Also have you gotten your device wet recently by any chance?

If it has gotten damp, pull battery and place battery and device in a bag of rice overnight then follow the directions in the above post...

ok installed everything now when it gets to the screen that is so post to say COM1 thats not even coming up on the connections?

Rice is a nice idea, but if you got the gel packs you get from new electronic devices, this is better.

Uncooked rice will put dust on your mother board.

Ok got finially got the wireless pin:unknown to come up then it comes up again with my phone pin. Then I am getting a screan that says either fatal error or I get the box to load the apps but there are no apps to click on. What could be wrong ?

ok this is what comes up when i click the next for the last time it says the blackberry desktop software does not have BB device spftware for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wirless service provider or system asministrator.
