I have searched here and asked two TMO reps and have not really found a consistent answer to my questions.

Please clarify if I understand how wifi and uma work on the TMO 8320

Curve only w/o data plan or hotspot@home

1. calls are deducted from minutes whether on TMO network or wifi
2. web access via wifi is free and not deducted from minutes

Curve with hotspot@home

1. Calls made from wifi are free always
2. web access is free always

   True. without H@H calls made using UMA connection over wifi will be deducted from your bucket of minutes.
2. web access via wifi is free and not deducted from minutes
   This I believe is true.

1. Calls made from wifi are free always
   Calls made using UMA (wifi) are unlimited.
2. web access is free always
   web access is only free over wifi. If you want unlimited web access over cell (Edge) network, you'll need to get the unlimited data plan Blackberry add-on.

Your curve does not have wifi only the Tmo 8320. Your curve has gps.
