    I have an 8310 that is always on gsm, while my wife's is edge. Whats the reason for this?

    Take the battery out for 5 minutes and put it back. If that does not fix the
    problem, give AT&T a call at 800-331-0500.

    I tried everything. AT&T told me to stop in the store to get a new sim and it is still showing gsm. Any ideas?

    am sure there is a "map" for that!! Seriously, i had the same problem once and had to get att to send new sim and update it through there system..Give that a try and good luck...i have had att since bellsouth mobility and they have always had BIG problems...but still I cant face going to big red!

    I did stop in the store for a new sim. Unfortunately, it is still showing gsm.
