I just finished assembling my blackberry with a white faceplace and battery cover. I cut out pieces of blue plastic bag and taped it over the LEDs that are under the keyboard so I have a light blue backlight now. I am waiting for my black trackball and black keyboard to arrive, so the blue light would shine only through the letters on the keyboard, I can't wait!
Looks good, but wouldnt the plastic kind of get soft and melt a lil, because no BB stays cold or.. cool, esp I know if Ive been on the phone for an hour..
I was kind of meaning the keyboard area specifically, I talk on the phone for a long while, and I do notice a lil heat (not feirce) coming from the front, its not burning hot or anything, but the combo of being on the phone, and up to my hear, it does get warm, Its just something I personally wouldnt do.
I like it, you're right about the L.E.D.'s not getting too warm. But the phones board will create some heat. Looks clean though.
I Took the cover off my MacBook and put a piece of blue plastic on the "apple" to make it blue as well.
The colors go well together

Haha, you must have read my mind cause that's what I was gonna say but didn't! Besides, I already know what a white Curve looks like, so I just wanted to comment on the heat issue.

I can see it so clearly now. It looks grand. Well done; I am still not sure about the plastic and the melt factor. However, I would love for you to keep us posted on what happens with that.

Looks awesome. How did you paint it? I assume you didn't just take it apart and repaint it with white glossy spray paint, or did you? Did you have to sand the old paint off first?

In the end, looks REALLY cool :-)
He never said he painted it. Just said he just got done assembling it. Also, there are numerous threads on how to go about painting a housing if that's what you're wanting to do!
