Are you talking about the Operating System or a program that you want to run on your phone.

If you are speaking of the OS, then I would wait a while to learn more about your phone before updating your OS.

is the .exe just a zip ? try unzipping, regular executables don't run on the berry

Bell is a Canadian carrier. We have two official languages, English and French, plus several more in common use. I suspect English is not OP's native language.

The BlackBerry Device OS software must be downloaded to a Windows computer, then installed by running the EXE program.

After it has been installed, Applications Loader will choose the subset of software to install on the BlackBerry.

ok new OS are installed on my computor is 4.5 and when i go to c:/program file / commun file....

look i put pic... He missed the folder???

and yes my hide folder was effective

The screen capture you have posted does not contain a .../Research in Moton folder, that would be present if the Device OS software was installed.

You do have BlackBerry Desktop Manager correctly installed.

Have you downloaded and saved the file 8330AMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel253_PL3.4.0.41_A4.5.0.160.exe ?
