I am wanting to watch videos and saw some of the good websites that were posted earlier, but it still says "the protocol specified is not supported by the handheld. Please try a different URL?" Any help is appreciated.
What site are you trying to download from? It sounds to me like you are trying to download a large video using your BB. In which case won't work. You will need to download the video using a computer, then transfer that video to your memory card. If you don't have a memory card, then you can't put it on your phone.
Just trying to access m.youtube.com, blueapple.mob, etc. They say that the server is currently unavailable due to a temporarily overloading or maintenace of the server. I went to opera mini and then downloaded that and it is now on my applications, but it wont connect to the internet.
Also, I bought a memory card a week ago, but I cannot get it to format.
The 8300 will not work with youtube. You will have to use blueapple.mobi and the BB browser. blueapple.mobi will just invoke the BB browser if you try to watch a video using Opera Mini.
One problem at a time dude! Not to mention my previous statement that you are better off accessing blueapple.mobi using the BB browser AND NOT Opera Mini. So for now, forget about opera mini.
Open the BB Browser. Press menu, choose options. Select Browser Config. Scroll down to Emulation Mode, verify that it is set to BlackBerry.
Ok, do a battery pull. With your phone on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, then put it back in. Now using the BB browser, try going to blueapple.mobi. Does it work or what error do you get?
Ok. I pulled the battery and still getting the same message "The server is currently unable to handle your request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. Please try loading a different page. Contact your service provider if the problem persist."
