    Hi folks,

well, there was this international number fed in the 8310 device, let say 0039012345678.

the number was displayed as it is when veiwd from the address book, but when i tried to dial this number a weird thing happend. instead of dialing 0039012345678, it dialed 003912345678, omitting a 0 in between (the one i marked red).
i tried the same thing with 8100 and it was working well. have reloaded the OS as well but this weird thing wont go away.

Try adding a + before the country code.

There is no country code that begins with 00. 00 is the required international access code when dialing from Mexico. If you are in the US, you need to dial + (country code) then number. What country are you dialing? 39 is the country code for Vatican City. Depending on your service provider and the country where you live, you may be required to dial an access number to get an international line.

no country code begins with 00, if a country code is lets say 39, and city code is 21, then it will be written as 003921xxxxxx , when this number is fed in blackberry, it automatically replces the first 2 zeros with + and dials and international number.

now what 8310 does is that it replaces the first 2 zeros with + and omits the third zero in the middle. when the same thing is tried with other bb models, that third zero remains there.

hope im able to clear my point.
