I hope someone can, help.
I have a Verizon 8330 Blackberry with unlimited data plan.
When ever I try to launch the Blackberry browser, I get the following error
"Unable to connect to the selected Media Data Service, please try later.
If the problem persist please contact your administrator"
Now here is the kicker, I have desktop shortcuts to ESPN, FoxNews and CNN and they all work fine. E-mail is fine, both POP and GMAIL, No BES set up
The browser's security is set to allow on all 3 settings.
It sounds like you have a corrupted page in the cache that the browser is attempting to open. Open the browser, using one of the shortcuts. Once it's open, press Menu / Options / Cache Operations and clear your content cache and pushed cache. If that doesn't solve the problem, then clear the cookie cache, but save that for last because cookies store useful stuff like login info that you'll have to reenter if you delete.
