I have OS 4.3 on my Verizon Curve and would like to upgrade to 4.5, however I have a laptop which doesn't work so great so I can not do it from my computer, is there a way I can upgrade OS OTA? Any tricks to make mt Blackberry faster? Thanks for any help out there!

You can't upgrade via OTA. It's impossible. You need to do it from a PC, as there are many files that need to be deleted and rewritten to the phone.

I managed to upgrade my Curve to one of the Hybrid OS' from my home computer, which is almost 8 years old! LoL.

Maybe do it at a friend's house?

Definitely needs to be done on a reliable PC that won't die midway through, or you will brick your Berry, and it takes just as long to recover it.
