Some people seem to think there is, but I don't hear any difference. What version are you running?

Running 4.5.0.93 here, and four updates from from the original 4.2.2 the phone came with.

No glitches so far, no volume decrease during any of the updates.
My 8320 has never rebooted on it's own, never deleted files on it's own (knowing of head board for wood).

.52 is an older version compared to the latest beta that is out there. Currently the officially newest version is .81.

You can a different battery door that allows more audio through. Check the CB store.

The audio boost is in the Media player, once there click the menu button and you should see it right about the headset equalizer.

yea, but even with the equalizer, there is a very noticeable muffling of and reduction in playback sound. Its not a big deal for someone who does not use their phone as an alarm... or for light sleepers...

I use Berrytunes 2.5 and everyone envied me and my Curve because it was very loud with good quality sound...awesome in fact. Just installed this upgrade to BB OS 4.5 today- and WOW, this issue alone is about to make me revert back to 4.2. If anyone knows of any tricks or updates- please let us know.
