At the risk of looking like a complete knob, how do I set up voice mail for my Curve? I swear, everything I've been able to find tells me how to access it, but not how to initially set it up. Take pity and don't throw rotten fruit, help me out here. Pretty please?

Press and hold 1, and follow the prompts.

Now, step away from the Curve, and don't look back! - LMAO

It's funny that you asked this question. I called a buddy of mine today (he has At&T) and it his voicemail said "the person that you called did not set up their voicemail, please call back later" and then hung up.

I think I like that set up better for myself. Is there any way to reverse the voicemail set up?
    lol (but not really!)

I think if you call your own number it will also get you into your Voice mail. You might have to press pound to interrupt it though.

I noticed (so far) that I'm the only one with T-Mobile. Anyway, I spoke with BB Tech Support and they gave me two ways to resolve the issue: (1)dial 123 and it will automatically connect me to voice mail; or (2)add the phone number for the voice mail server to my Speed Dial Directory and assign it to the leter "W". I chose option #2. Hope this helps anyone.

What about adding automatic dialing of password after a pause? Is there a way to add suffixes to the pre-programmed #1 to voicemail?

My I.T. peeps wiped my curve while troubleshooting in order to add it to the BES...along with all of my other settings the voice mail/automatic password was lost. To correct this problem I edited my address and added a pause and then the password to the voice mail number (which is your own phone number)...TADAAAA!

Your voice mail is accessed by dialing your own number and then entering your passcode. It usually is stored under the W speed dial which equates to the number 1. You can also set the number for it and even enter your passcode by going into the phone -> options -> voice mail and set them both there, or only set the phone number.

    Good Luck!

Here is my problem....I can press 1 to get to my voicemail (awesome BTW, I am sure I will get a LOT of use out of this forum) but it asks for my temporary password.....Man, the guy who sold me this phone didn't go over things very well at all

And if RonB you are saying to go set the password, I don't have "voicemail" under options....

Menu/Options/Phone options/Voice Mail You can add your own number and your password. It should all default to the #1 speed dial key!
