I have a blackberry curve 8310 and just installed the OS 4.5 to get the video camera, only to find the normal resolution is 240 x 180 is there any kind of patch? or program I can install to get a bigger res?

Unfortunately no. 240X180 is the limitation for now.

I'm happy with just the 240x180. Was surprised it took this long to get a vid recorder. My old Nokia even had one

I was rather disappointed to see how low the resolution was for the video camera, compared to the quality of the screen - video that I take comes out blocky. Not really what I was hoping for.

Any word on whether a hack/patch has come out to address this?

Just picked up the Curve 8310 this past weekend, partially because I'd heard about the software update that enabled the video camera. I like the phone, but the video recording is important to me.

Yeah, there isn't no fix for the problem. I don't take that many videos with it anyways, I have a video camera for that.

hah - thanks guys. I actually have a video camera and 2 digital cameras that record video - just nice to have something I keep with me every day anyways to take quick pix at a moments notice.
